WHO WE ARE
Central Eastern Ontario Translation and Interpretation Services is housed at Quinte United Immigrant Services in Belleville. Our agency has strived to excellence in providing precise, immediate, accurate and confidential linguistic translation and interpretation services to a large number of agencies, businesses and individuals for over 5 years. We are pleased to provide an improved link between human service professionals and limited-English speakers in over 80 languages.
We service the region from Lindsay to Brockville, Ontario for both translations and interpretations.
MISSION AND GOALS
Effective communication between agencies or professionals and non-English speaking clients through competent well trained, ethical and impartial interpreters. Equal access and equitable treatment for non-English speakers to Community Services in the fields of law, health, education, social services and immigration.Adherence to provincial standards for interpretation, ensuring high quality, consistent delivery by trained competent and linguistically fluid interpreters. Service providers and service systems will be more responsive to the diverse needs of our multicultural community.

INTERPRETATION SERVICES
Interpretation is the act of providing oral translation between or amongst speakers who speak different languages. An interpreter can be booked to facilitate your communication with a person/client who speaks limited English or French.
How to Access Interpretation Services
Hours of Operation:
You can access interpretation services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To schedule an interpreter please call 1-888-968-1065 or 613-968-1065 (in the Quinte area).
Cancellation Policy:
Please provide us with at least 24 hours notice of cancellation, in the event that you no longer require the scheduled service of a language interpreter.
Rates and Interpretation Options
Face-to-face - the interpreter will come to the service provider's location
$ 50.00/hour + HST - 2 hour minimum
* additional charges for travel time and mileage may apply
Teleconference - the interpreter will place a call to the service provider and limited-English-speaker at requested location
$ 50.00/half hour + HST - 1 hour minimum
* long-distance charges may apply
Message Relay - the interpreter will deliver an informational message directly to the limited-English-speaker (service provider does not have to be present)
$ 30.00 flat rate + HST
*long-distance charges may apply
TRANSLATION SERVICES
Translation occurs when written documentation in one language is provided in writing in another language, so that it expresses the same meaning.

Services Offered
Confidential and accurate certified translations accepted by government agencies and for legal purposes.
Translators are certified by the ATIO (Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario)
For convenience, offices for drop off of original documents are located in Kingston, Belleville, Cobourg and Peterborough
Minimum deposit required for all translations
Quotes for pricing are provided within 1 to 2 business days
Processing time for most translations is 5 to 7 business days
