Quinte United Immigrant
Services is a non-governmental, non-profit agency. While we do receive
funding from the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario, we
are not a government office or agency. Personal information collected
will only be used by authorized persons to fulfill the purpose for which
it was originally collected, or for a use consistent with that purpose
considering the following exception:
As a part of our contribution agreements with those government bodies we
may be required to share a portion of the information collected for
statistical funding purposes. This information may include your name,
address, date of entry in Canada, Citizenship and Immigration Canada
Client Number, or Social Insurance Number. Any other information not
relevant to this purpose is confidential and will not be disclosed
without your prior consent.
We are committed to protecting your personal information by making
reasonable security arrangements against such risks as unauthorized
access, collection, use, disclosure or disposal. Security measures are
integrated into our day-to-day operating practices as part of our
continuing commitment to the protection of your personal information.
Additionally, Quinte United Immigrant Services offers a Dignity for All
program funded by the United Way of Quinte. The mandate of this program
is to provide assistance to all immigrants independent of race, national
or ethnic origin, colour, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age or
mental or physical disability. The target group includes all clients who
do not qualify for any existing government program. As a part of our
contribution agreement with the United Way, we are not required to share
any client information. Therefore, any information collected under this
mandate is confidential and will not be disclosed without your prior
consent.
